Portrait of Mr. David T. Brown, CEO, Owens Corning

“The tradition of painting portraits is not new, nor is the tradition of painting a corporation’s leaders. Yet, it is important to note that among the thousands of people that have worked for this company, only six portraits grace these walls.” These words, delivered at the unveiling ceremony of Mr. Brown’s portrait in 2007 at Owens Corning’s world headquarters, recognize him as only the sixth man to head this Fortune 500 Company in its 73 year history. The painting is now hanging in the company of portraits by acclaimed artists Dean Paules and a man considered the Dean of American Portraiture, William Draper.
